In conjunction with the Malaysian Night 2011, the Malaysian Youth Society University of Newcastle (MYSUN) from the University of Newcastle, Australia have decided to make a music video to portray the 'kampung' environment in our home country of Malaysia. So we have decided the song "Desa Tercinta" (My Lovely Countryside) by Nora to be the most suitable song to fit in with the purpose. This music video was shot in Birmingham Gardens, NSW, Australia in the backyard of one of the Malaysian boys' rented house. We tried our best to put on the setting and props in order to get the 'kampung' look. Actors are recruited mostly from a bunch of Malaysian students studying at the University of Newcastle, from various background and courses. Some Malaysian families who have been living in Newcastle for quite some time also took part in the making of this music video. We dedicate this song to all Malaysians out there, no matter where you are, what cultural background you are or what age you are. Hope all of you will enjoy this video and do share with the world.
